CIVIL ENGINEER/DESIGN ENGINEER
Joseph C. Truxaw and Associates, Inc. is growing! We are seeking a Civil Engineer/Design Engineer to join our team! Our employees enjoy our industry-leading benefits program, the ability to balance their work life and home life, and opportunities for development and growth within the Company. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of private site improvements and public street and utility improvement plans. In addition, the candidate must have a valid California Driver’s License in good standing and be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements:
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D design experience required
• Preparation of public improvement and private land development civil plans
• Preparation of Hydrology/Hydraulic Reports
• Water Quality Management Plans (WQMP)
• Drainage Studies and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
• California PE registration and/or QSP/QSD Certification not required but encouraged

Candidate must be able to work effectively with other technical professionals and possess a valid California driver’s license in good standing.

CIVIL/SURVEY CAD DESIGNER
Joseph C. Truxaw and Associates, Inc. is growing! We are seeking a highly motivated Civil/Survey CAD Designer to join our team in Central Orange County California. The successful candidate will have the ability to participate in complex and high-value projects, work with multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing the quality of effectiveness, make sound decisions for the benefit of the project and the Company.

Accountabilities:
• Perform engineering design using AutoCAD Civil3D
• Communicate design approaches and decisions with associated supporting documentation to Project Engineers and Project Managers
• Prepare development plans including site, street improvements, utility, and grading & drainage construction documents
• Develop 3D grading surface models
• Tabulate and address review comments on deliverables provided by Client, Project Engineers or Project Managers
• Provide quality reviews of own work in accordance with Company’s quality control program and processes
• Preparation of engineering and survey drawings from sketches, field notes, verbal description, and specifications
• Coordination of CAD files and design with internal and external team members

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years prior AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience
• Relevant/similar Land Development Experience, specifically commercial/industrial site development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated
• Ability to prepare construction documents using good design judgment and meeting agency design guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment on multiple projects simultaneously and must be a team player
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a CAD Designer required

LAND SURVEYOR-OFFICE/FIELD
Joseph C. Truxaw and Associates, Inc. is growing! We are seeking An Office/Field Land Surveyor to join our team! The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Professional Land Surveyor or equivalent experience. California PLS or LSIT registration a plus, but not required. In addition, the candidate must have a valid California Driver’s License in good standing and be authorized to work in the United States.

Typical Office and Field Duties:
• Strong boundary analysis and boundary determination skills required
• CAD drafting/calcs in AutoCAD/Civil 3D
• Prepare ALTA/NSPS Surveys
• Prepare Topographic Surveys
• Prepare Subdivision Maps and Lot Line Adjustments
• Prepare Legal Descriptions and Exhibits
• Construction Surveys and Staking Calculations
• Communication with the field crews
• Supervise other survey team members
• Prepare proposals and estimates
• Quality control/assurance

This position is Full-Time, hourly and comes with an expansive benefits package including medical, dental and 401k plan. Candidate must be able to work effectively with other technical professionals and possess a valid California driver’s license in good standing.
